The Pont
The Pont is situated 4kMs from the town of Port St Johns and is located on the the original site of the pont used many years ago to cross the Umzimvubu River. In fact there are still remnants of the pont on the property, and the rustic chalets are all built on frames from the pont. The property is bordered by the Umzimvubu River and there are jetty's and a slipway available for the use of guests.
The property is large and caters for camping, overnighters and those just wanting to "get-away-from-it-all", and we have declared the whole property a noise free zone. There is abundant bird life in the area with over 75 species being identified, with sightings of Fish Eagles as a regular occurrence. During fishing season the river is a rich source of fish and the later months of the season produces some larger specimens.
